This certificate is attached to the Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Criminal Justice and provides the student the skills and academic requirements necessary to qualify for a law enforcement agency. Students seeking a certificate cannot enroll in CJSA2388.

Upon completion of this degree, students will be able to:

 

  1. Display critical thinking skills related to areas in the Criminal Justice Field.
  2. Demonstrate professional, ethical, respectful conduct to those of diverse cultures, customs and beliefs in stressful situation.
  3. Communicate both verbally and in writing on areas related to the criminal justice field.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to use appropriate employment strategies to obtain positions in criminal justice.

 

The certificate is designed to take 1 year to complete and is comprised of the following suggested pathway or course of study.  This degree can be completed either completely face-to-face or through a mix of face-to-face classes and online classes.
